Access to Citizens

The Citizens provides a variety of services to facilitate access to the theatre, including audio description, BSL interpreted performances, captioning and our Deaf Theatre Club.

  Wheelchair access is available in the stalls area of our main theatre and in both of our studios.  Look out for the symbol on our seating plan.  Adapted toilets are also available.  Ramp access available in the lower foyer. Lift to Circle Studio.


Free parking adjacent to the Theatre. Level access to theatre building and foyer. Marked bays for disabled and parent and child. Please note that there is a one way system to enter the car park. Enter via Crown Street & Laurieston Road. Also see directions in Find Us.



  Visually impaired attenders can listen to a description around the dialogue of a performance. TOUCH TOURS available if booked in advance. Infrared headsets are available on request from the Box Office - reserve at time of booking.   Induction loop and infrared systems are provided in the stalls of the Main Theatre. The best seats for audio reception are:

  We offer a British Sign Language Interpreter on stage during certain performances.  See right for list of available performances with this service.

Deaf Theatre Club
