Community Company

A creative and supportive company for the whole community

In 2009 the Citizens Community Company celebrated its 10th anniversary. The company is made up of around thirty permanent members aged from 22 to 80, from all walks of life; living, learning or working in Glasgow.

Members include those working part time, retired, at college, on benefits or in recovery.

The company is free to join and no previous theatre experience is required. The group brings people together of different abilities and backgrounds to develop new skills, grow confidence and ultimately take part in performance projects. The Community Company usually produces one large-scale performance project per year along with a range of seasonal shows.

“What the company has given me is a sense of pride,
confidence and just the feel good factor.”

Eddie Donoghue, Community Company member
