BA Community Arts Teaching

Learning

The Citizens Learning team are teaching on the BA Community Arts course at the University of Strathclyde, leading the third year students for their Community Drama module.

Over 12 weeks the students receive 48 hours teaching time from professional theatre practitioners within the Citizens, giving them a practical insight into areas including Community Theatre, Working with People Outside the Mainstream, Working Within Additional Support Needs, the Curriculum for Excellence and creating Theatre For By and With Young People.

Delivery happens at Strathclyde and at the Citizens Theatre.  We aim to equip participants with the skills, theory and background knowledge to begin work as practitioners.
