Conquer Not Divide

TAG

An exciting new theatre devising project working with Sense Over Sectarianism.

Secondary school pupils will devise a piece of theatre, before performing it in local primary schools.

A Director and Drama Worker from the TAG will lead this new project in two Glasgow Secondary Schools (Drumchapel High School and St Mungo’s Academy) with fifteen S3-S4 Drama Students from each school.

Our theatre professionals will help the students to devise short performance pieces over a period of 10 weeks looking at how sectarianism affects their lives and their communities. Each session will last 2 hours.

Each group will perform their pieces, at their schools, to an audience of P7 pupils from their local area on Wednesday 17 March 2010. Performances will be followed by a short discussion looking at the themes of the dramas, led by a TAG Drama Worker.

Conquer Not Divide will be an honest look at how Glaswegian teenagers recognise sectarianism and their impressions of its impact.
