Our pre-5 storytelling and story-acting project takes a new turn at Caledonia Language Unit in Baillieston.
An enthusiastic P6 class from Caledonia Primary School were trained to scribe the stories told to them by P1 and P2 children in the language unit. The older children then ‘directed’ the wee ones as they acted them out. Results were excellent, with hilarious and beautiful stories from the P1-2s as well as some very sophisticated turns of phrase, and extremely confident facilitation from the P6s – who didn’t mind joining in the acting too, given half a chance!
