Fancy reading a great play in the company of others?

Join us in person at Impact Arts on Wednesday afternoons, 2pm – 4pm, as we read and discuss different plays and texts each term.

No advance reading is required – enjoy finding out what happens each week!

 

Interested in joining the group from the comfort of your own home? Join our morning online sessions instead!

These sessions take place in person at Impact Arts at The Boardwalk, 105 Brunswick Street, Glasgow, G1 1TF.

 

What we will be reading

We’ll be reading and discussing the characters and themes of Pulitzer prize winning play, Fences by American playwright August Wilson. It is an utterly compelling story of a working class African American family in 1957, at a time of the ongoing struggle of the Civil Rights Movement .

You will need a copy in advance of the first session. It can be bought from a range of online stores including Blackwells, Hive and Waterstones.

We are not taking online bookings this term. Please call our Box Office on 0141 429 0022 to book. The telephone line is open 10am – 2pm, Wednesday – Friday.

£2 transaction fee applies to all telephone bookings.

There are a limited number of places so advance booking is recommended.
