We know that a visit to the theatre starts before the curtain goes up. We want your experience to be as special and as comfortable as possible. With lots of new spaces to explore, including a new Studio Theatre and viewing windows into our backstage areas, a lot has changed since our doors were last open. Our new space
Our Gorbals home is having a makeover.
The transformative project is the first comprehensive redevelopment of the Citizens Theatre in over 140 years as a working theatre. Designed by architects, Bennetts Associates, construction on the new and improved Citizens Theatre started in 2019 and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon.
