The Comedy of Errors

Shakespeare’s tale of mistaken identity and reunited families.
The Comedy of Errors

Live performance is back this summer with the Live at No.40 outdoor festival - join us for a joyous moment of reunion, celebration and laughter!

Two identical twin brothers and their identical servants are separated by a shipwreck. Years later, unknown to each other, they all end up on the same island. Before a celebratory family reunion can happen, a series of wild mishaps and delightful mayhem begins – including baffling encounters, false accusations, wrongful arrests, and a near-seduction.

Directed by Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill, this fun-filled production performed by a talented ensemble cast is stripped-back storytelling at its best. With live music and slapstick humour, in an atmospheric outdoor setting, this 90-minute show is a brilliant opportunity to safely reunite our artists and audiences to rediscover the magic of live performance.

Visit our what to expect guide for full information about out safety measures, booking process, the venue and what to expect on the day. Recommended for ages 11+.
