Produced by Vanishing Point in association with Manipulate Arts & Fidena
Size Matters
30 – 31 Jan 2026
Event details
Size Matters is a wildly inventive new show from Mamoru Iriguchi (Eaten, What You See When Your Eyes Are Closed / What You Don’t See When Your Eyes Are Open). Blending puppetry, science, and surrealist theatre, Julia and Mamoru and their puppet doubles explore how time and perception shift with size. If your heart beats slower, does time pass differently? What happens when puppeteers grow, but their puppets stay the same? Playful, clever and visually surprising, Size Matters is a joyful, mind-bending journey through time, perspective and control.
Supported by Creative Scotland’s Open Fund for Individuals, Tramway Residency Programme & Dance Base.
Part of the Vanishing Point Winter Residency
Mamoru Iriguchi is one of Scotland’s most idiosyncratic and visionary artists. Programming this new work during the Vanishing Point residency, reflects our enthusiasm for supporting the work of visionary and internationally-minded theatre makers who are brave enough to challenge formal perceptions about theatre and follow their own path.
