Up Stage: Crafting from old costumes

Join us for Up Stage, a hands-on workshop where you’ll explore how to turn costumes and textiles from past productions into something completely new. 

You’ll get the chance to rummage through a selection of beautiful, no-longer-used costume pieces, and take part in a relaxed handcrafting session to create your own small, customised item. From headscarves or blanket patches, to pin cushions or fabric-covered phone case, get ready to mix crafting, upcycling and a touch of Citz history.  

Whether you’re a curious beginner or a keen crafter, this session is a chance to get creative, connect with the theatre’s heritage, and help us imagine new ways to breathe life into materials once destined for the stage. 

A range of simple, small-scale projects will be available on the day.
