Young Company: Summer School 2024

The annual Summer School marks the end of the Young Co year and the beginning of a new one. This is usually a time when current participants are about to move onto pastures new, such as drama school, a different root of further education or to start their careers. Meanwhile, it is also an opportunity for those interested in joining to dip their toes into the world of Young Co.

Neil and Amanda will be heading up the week and kicking it off with drama games and an introduction to the world of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, exploring the story, characters and themes. We will then have a series of sessions with specialist practitioners using the text as their inspiration.

These include a session with movement artist Sasha Harrington, a day of working in the world of set design with Rachel O’Neill, an afternoon exploring the text with Citz Artistic Director Dominic Hill, and a session with Citz Head of Participate Catrin Evans.

Who is it for?

Young people aged 18-22 with a passion for making theatre. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
