Seat Restoration Fund
Are you sitting comfortably? Everyone wants to look their best and the Citizens is no different!

The seats in our main auditorium are over 20 years old. We take great pride in our rich history and we want to ensure that you are sitting comfortably for every performance at the theatre. We have therefore undertaken to replace all of the seats on stalls and dress circle levels.
The replacement will take place in two phases with the first phase to begin in August 2012. We are delighted to be working with respected theatre seat manufacturers Kirwin & Simpson who have delivered restoration projects for several of the UK’s leading theatres. To try out a new style seat make yourself comfortable on our prototype in the foyer!
The cost of replacing all the seats in the main auditorium (which includes an upgrade of the theatre floor) is £314,000.
