A sociable, drop-in group for adults who share an interest in theatre

The group use drama exercises and improvisation in imaginative ways to create theatre and have fun. The focus is on creativity and making connections with people.

We also host a monthly Community Collective Lunch in partnership with Kin Kitchen. The meal is a great opportunity to chat about theatre, enjoy some food and get to know each-other better.

Check out our What’s On listings for current term dates.

What our participants say

It’s really lovely to be part of the ’family’.

I feel supported and comfortable to perform.

I just absolutely love Community Collective!

A festive performance. A group of actors dressed as the baddies from different fairytales. There are musicians behind them.

Our partners

It’s great to come together with other organisations in our local area. Current partners include:

Givin’ It Laldie

A community music project set up in response to the social and health issues affecting the local area. Together, we’ve produced collaborative theatre performances across the Gorbals – including our annual Winter Warmer event.

New Gorbals Housing Association (NGHA)

NGHA is our local housing association. As part of their work, they contribute to the regeneration of the Gorbals, addressing the needs of those in the community who are disadvantaged. We partner with them on the annual Gorbals Fair.

Kin Kitchen

We partner with Kin Kitchen to deliver our monthly community lunch. They are a collective of volunteers who work collaboratively to deliver community food initiatives. Their skilled team of volunteers produce tasty vegan or vegetarian food each month.

The Gorbals Vampire
A large number of actors on a stage are facing the camera, crouching down and raising their hands to the sky. They are dressed in a variety of drab clothes from the 1950s. One actor is lying on the ground in the centre of the stage with the other actors gathered round him. He has a grimaced face. Another actor is standing at the very back of the stage. He is standing on a wall above the others looking out to the camera with one hand in the air.
