Citizens Learning

Informal and sociable weekly play-reading sessions exploring a production in the Citizens forthcoming season.

Afternoon play-reading sessions aimed at the young at heart and mature in years.

This season: Hamlet and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.

Join us to read selected scenes from the Bard’s most famous work and Tom Stoppard’s witty, absurdist take on it.

First staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1966, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead was Stoppard’s dazzling debut, which became a worldwide hit on stage, radio and film. As the play says, ‘Pirates could happen to anyone’.

Scripts, tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

No advance reading is required – enjoy finding out what happens each week!

Wednesdays, 2-4pm, 20 Aug - 8 Oct

(or Stalls Rehearsal Room)

As always– the best afternoon in the week!
