Informal afternoon play-reading sessions at the Citizens Theatre.

Informal and sociable meetings aimed at those who are young at heart and mature in years - although all are welcome!  This season join us to read from Henrik Ibsen’s classic play A Doll’s House. This play created a sensation when it was published in 1879 but went on to become perhaps Ibsen’s most famous play.  Let’s find out why!

These sessions are all about giving voice to the characters from the comfort of your seat, and talking about the story and the people in it.

Over four sessions (20 Oct, 27 Oct, 3 Nov and 10 Nov), meeting weekly on Thursdays from 2-4pm, the group will explore scenes from the play, leaving you time to see a show in the evening or beat the rush hour home.

Most of all I enjoyed the small group of interested participants – with no-ne hogging it.  An excellent mixture of reading and discussion.
