We’re getting ready to sprinkle some magic, mischief and festive fun across the Citz this Christmas with our brand-new production of Cinderella.
Opening on 28 November, our fresh take on the much-loved fairytale is directed by Joanna Bowman and written by Stuart Paterson, bringing a familiar story to life with plenty of surprises along the way.
Following the success of last year’s Beauty and the Beast – which is nominated for Best Show for Children & Young People at the UK Theatre Awards and won the CATS Award for the same category earlier this year we’re continuing our festive tradition with an fun take on a classic fairytale, promising magic and mischief.
It’s nearly time for the Prince’s ball, but poor Cinderella is working her fingers to the bone in the cold, dark kitchens thanks to the cruel tricks of her greedy step-sisters. Luckily, she has some new friends – and a little bit of magic – to help her make it to the ball and perhaps win the heart of the Prince. But this Cinderella isn’t quite the fairytale you might expect. Could her heart’s true desire actually be closer to home?

Molly Geddes as Cinderella
A recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Molly follows a busy 2025 including Sally Reid’s Water Colour and two Wonder Fools productions, Alright Sunshine and Tether.
Claire Dargo as Claudia, Cinderella’s wicked stepmother.
Claire is known to audiences for roles including Gloria Bell in The Ridge and Karen Connolly in River City.
Hannah Visocchi as step sister Claudine
Hannah stars in the soon-to-be-released Netflix series The Undertow.
Emma Mullen as step sister Claudette
Emma is known for Shetland and will appear as Millie McCraig in the upcoming Legacy of Spies.
Leandro Daniel as The Prince
Callum Geddes as Callum
Keith Macpherson as King/Father
Known for his work at Pitlochry Festival Theatre and his long association with the Citizens Theatre from his appearances in several TAG productions
Michael Dylan as Sergeant Puff
Recently seen in Fish at A Play, A Pint and A Pie and James Brining’s The Seagull.

Behind the scenes, Joanna is joined by a brilliant creative team: Jess Worrall as designer, John Patrick Elliot as composer, Lizzie Powell as lighting designer, Ben Morgan as Sound Designer, Jack Webb as choreographer and movement director, and Tim Licata as clown director and magician.
