Volunteering at the Citz

Associate Companies and Artists
We offer space, resources, and expertise to nurture creativity, expand collaboration, and strengthen connections across Scotland’s arts community.
Trainees
We aim to nurture the talent of trainees and graduates through a range of schemes, including our Graduate Actor Interns and our Birbank Trainee Director. We also have Higher Education Partnerships.

We are committed to promoting theatre as an activity for everyone – whether it is part of our work in local communities, on our main stage or in our new studio.
Scottish Casting Network
Scottish Casting Network is a commitment from 6 theatre buildings in Scotland to hold one open casting workshop every two years. We will host the next Scottish Casting Network workshop on 21 April 2026.
