Overview
Responsible to: Head of Production
Responsible for: Head of LX & Sound; Deputy Head of Stage; Technicians
Key Relationships: Visiting companies, production creatives, freelance and casual
Salary: £40,000
Contract: Annualised hours averaging 40 hours per week (plus paid Get Outs). Includes regular evenings and weekends, and occasional overnights as required.
Purpose of the role
The Technical Manager is a new leadership role within the Production Department, supporting the Head of Production to plan and deliver the full programme of activity across the building. This role will combine hands-on technical expertise with departmental management responsibilities. They will lead the Stage team – supervising fit ups, get ins and get outs, maintaining rigging and stage equipment etc. – while coordinating technical support for visiting companies, hires & events, and the Studio programme.
