Òran Ùr - Celebrating 25 years of new Gaelic songs

An evening celebrating contemporary Gaelic songwriting with stars of Gaelic singing and contemporary songwriting. Gaelic songwriting has undergone a renaissance and many of the newly composed songs are now established as part of the Gaelic song repertoire, adding and renewing the rich tradition of Gaelic song.

Building on the Òran Ùr project showcased by BBC Radio nan Gàidheal, this concert is curated by Gillebride MacMillan and among the featured guests are Rachel Walker, Iain ‘Costello’ MacIver, Kim Carnie, Karen Matheson, Mairi MacMillan, Seonaidh MacIntyre, Mairi MacInnes, Isobel Ann Martin, Ewan Henderson and some surprise guests!
