A Company Chordelia production, in Association with the Byre Theatre and Luminate
Revel
Fri 23 Oct, 7.45pm
Event details
This is the dressing room of every show Kally and Steinvör have ever been in – past, present and future.
A 60+ coming-of-age story, Revel is a dance-theatre piece that combines physical theatre, dance, dialogue and music.
We move between the real relationship in the dressing room as they get ready (always getting ready…), and surreal inner worlds that reflect the losses, gains and adjustments of ageing. Two performers navigate their memories and the shifting realities of their bodies and minds with wry humour as they prepare to step once more onto the stage.
In a world where we battle with who we are told to be, who we wish we were, and who we actually are, the challenge of this show is learning to accept and embrace ourselves as we are now.
Revel is about adaptability, resilience, loss, irreverence, joie de vivre – and dancing.
