A Raw Material & Traverse Theatre production in association with Citizens Theatre
So Young
28 Oct – 08 Nov 2025
Event details
A huge hit at the Traverse Festival 2024, So Young is a multi-award-winning comedy that is at once both hilarious and deeply moving.
When recently bereaved forty-something Milo invites his two oldest friends Davie and Liane over to drink wine, listen to records and reminisce about the olden days, it promises to be a great night reconnecting. There’s nothing better than catching up with pals. But there’s something else. He wants them to meet the new love of his life. Her name is Greta. And she’s twenty years old.
From Douglas Maxwell, the celebrated writer of The Sherrif of Kalamaki, and previous Citz show, Fever Dream: Southside, So Young sees an innocuous Glasgow evening slide into ruin as old friends face the challenges of middle age, growing apart and losing those close to them.
So Young won a Scotsman Fringe First award 2024, won Best New Play, CATS (Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland) 2025 and the Hector MacMillan Award for Best New Scottish Play 2025.
