Step into a world of theatrical magic at the Citizens Theatre with Jamie Harrison, director, designer and illusion designer at Vox Motus. In this special talk Harrison explores the fascinating history of spectacular stage effects, illusion and daring scenic innovation.

Harrison created the magic and illusion for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and won a special Tony Award for his scenic effects on Stranger Things the First Shadow.

Drawing on decades of specialised research and with examples from his own work, he offers a rare and unique insight into a largely forgotten theatrical past. Whether you’re a theatre enthusiast, professional, or simply curious, this engaging talk promises to unmask some of the most jaw-dropping moments ever staged.
