A Magnetic North production
We Will Hear The Angels
02 – 03 Oct 2026
Event details
A poignant and uplifting celebration of the power of sad music
Bea is stunned by the revelation of her husband’s infidelity; she feels heartbroken and alone. If only she knew that her neighbours, Sonia, Van and Ian, were each also trying to get over the pain in their hearts, unable to articulate how they feel. Maybe the mysterious Lou can help them?
We Will Hear The Angels explores the strange state of melancholy through words, movement and music. Performed by an ensemble of five actor-musicians, it features music by Hank Williams, Orange Juice, Etta James, Moondog and J.S.Bach among others.
This production was hugely popular with audiences and critics when it premiered at the Fruitmarket in Edinburgh. They loved its intimate, immersive staging and uplifting journey from darkness to light.
