The Comedy of Errors
Live performance is back this summer with the Live at No.40 outdoor festival - join us for a joyous moment of reunion, celebration and laughter!
Two identical twin brothers and their identical servants are separated by a shipwreck. Years later, unknown to each other, they all end up on the same island. Before a celebratory family reunion can happen, a series of wild mishaps and delightful mayhem begins – including baffling encounters, false accusations, wrongful arrests, and a near-seduction.
Directed by Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill, this fun-filled production performed by a talented ensemble cast is stripped-back storytelling at its best. With live music and slapstick humour, in an atmospheric outdoor setting, this 90-minute show is a brilliant opportunity to safely reunite our artists and audiences to rediscover the magic of live performance.
The Comedy of Errors is part of Live at No.40 - a month long outdoor festival presented by Scottish Opera celebrating music, theatre and opera. The programme includes performances from Scottish Opera, Scottish Ensemble and Citizens Theatre.
All performances will take place at Scottish Opera’s Production Studio Car Park: 40 Edington St, Glasgow G4 9RD.
