In line with the latest advice issued by the Scottish and UK Governments, the Citizens Theatre cancelled all performances and classes from March-August. We will keep our audiences and participants updated as Government advice changes. See our full statement on our response to Coronavirus.

A fun and informal introduction to acting skills for adults who want to try their hand at performing. Course material is refreshed each term and participants are welcome to repeat levels. All sessions are led by professional Theatre Practitioners.

Summer Term 2020 cancelled
Current participants get priority booking one week before on sale dates. 

Level 1 is suitable for complete beginners.

Level 2 is suitable for people who have already completed Level 1 and those with some previous acting experience. Get in touch with ellygoodman@citz.co.uk to find out more.

LEVEL 1 Beginners

Summer Term 2020: 20 Apr - 22 Jun, 6.15pm - 8.15pm excluding Monday 25 May

LEVEL 2 Intermediate

Summer Term 2020: 20 Apr - 22 Jun, 6.15pm - 8.15pm excluding Monday 25 May

Levels 1 and 2 explore acting skills and a variety of classic and contemporary texts from past and present Citizens Theatre productions. 

LEVEL 3 Advanced 

Summer Term 2020: 21 Apr - 16 Jun, 6.15pm - 8.15pm

Level 3 works towards an informal performance at the end of the course.

LEVEL 4 Advanced plus

Summer Term 2020: 21 Apr - 16 Jun, 6.15pm - 8.15pm

A more specialist course, working with a smaller group of participants to create a group performance. This course will suit those who have completed Level 3.
