A magical re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, written specially for the Citizens.

Cinderella will take you to an enchanted place where spells are cast, timing is everything and wishes can come true.

Cast included: Helen McAlpine, Mairi Phillips, Sarah Haworth, Cara Kelly, Mark Carlisle, Andrew Scott-Ramsay, Pauline Knowles, Fiona Morrison, Adam McNamara, Rhys Wadley and Camille Marmie.

I saw "Cinderella" on the first night. I was so impressed that I invited my three grandchildren, who live in Edinburgh, specially through so that they too could see it. They were equally impressed. They just loved it. Well done!

i agree with claire, i thought the pantmime was good and everything but it had a more mature sense to it than any other panto i think it need to see a younger side to it then more kids would enjoy it also more song and dance, music that is known and more oppertunities for audience participation! well done but

came to see Cinderella with my mum and husband 23 |Dec. we were very disappointed; no laughs, no lovely sets or costumes, hardly a song, no fun at all. went to see Sleeping Beauty preformed by a bunch of kids at SECC they were full of energy, they were funny, they could sing and dance. shame for the Citz!

We are booked to see Cinderella at the weekend - can't wait. Saw The Wiz of Oz last year with my 2 younger kids if was absolutely great (my all time fav. film)and we saw Peter Pan the year before another great performance. The theatre itself and cast make it a truely wonderful christmas experience for all the family.

I brought my little girl and her friend (both 4) to Cinderella yesterday. They absolutely loved it and were enthralled throughout. The adults in our group loved it as well, especially the use of the whole theatre and the different effects. We will definitely book for next year again and recommend to others.

Hi Kathleen, We recommend the show for 4+ due to the length being 1hr 50 mins (inc interval) as younger children may get restless. However, this is purely a recommendation and if you feel your child would enjoy sitting through a longer performance then there is absolutely no problem with them attending. There are some moments when the cast run through the crowd and certain characters such as the Wicked Stepmother may make wee ones a little uncomfortable! However, it is entirely up to each parent to decide what is best for their child and there's no problem with leaving the auditorium for a break during the show if your child does get restless. It is a family show and we often have families of all ages attending particularly if younger children have older siblings. I hope that helps!
