“The actors shift brilliantly back and forth between their characters’ personas on and off stage… a gentle-yet-honest drawing back of the curtain on the duo’s private lives…”
Sunday Herald

”...could well be a definitive version of the piece.”
The Herald

“The senior gentleman sitting beside me…was mouthing every word of every routine and every song. ...Meanwhile, across the aisle, two boys who can’t have been more than 12 and who one might assume had never so much as heard of the two comedians were laughing fit to burst.”

I'd like to say what a fantastic production. I saw the Laurel and Hardy play on Saturday night, and was facinated. What excellent mimicry by both of the actors, what a great take on the story, and what a fantastic production. I came with two other adults and two cildren and three of my party didnt know anything about them, or had even seen them, and they laughed as much as me and my partner who were brought up on their films. Can you please let me know if they are touring this production, and where? Thank you to Alasdair and Barrie.

I am most disappointed that the laurel and hardy show was so bad that my mother and father in law left at the interval along with quite a few others. The two men were as heavy as each other and were not in the least funny. I am gutted as this is one of there old favorites, and I purchased the tickets early so as to get a good view for them and to make matters worse it was a 75th birthday gift.

Absolutely fantastic! I tip my hat (Bowler) to Alasdair McCrone and Barrie Hunter, they have Babe and Stan to a tee. Entertaining, funny and moving. Words cannot describe how enjoyable this was. I had a tear in my eye as they performed the dance routine from Way out West. I'm a huge Laurel & Hardy fan and this just hits the mark.

I can't remember laughing so much since I was a child (I'm 63). And the whole theatre was laughing too. Very well done!
